This is a full, remote position with regular local travel (75%) required in TN

Job Description:

The Field Case Manager is responsible for assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals involved in the medical case management process. Working as an intermediary between carriers, attorneys, medical care providers, employers and employees, you will closely monitor the progress of the injured worker and report results back to the employer and insurance carrier. This will ensure appropriate and cost-effective healthcare services leading to a medically rehabilitated individual who is ready to return to an optimal level of work and functioning. You will:
• Use clinical skills to help coordinate the individual’s treatment program while maximizing cost containment.
• Serve as an intermediary to interpret and educate the individual on his/her disability, and the treatment plan established by the case manager, physicians, and therapists.
• Facilitate treatment between providers and the worker.
• Provide resources for claims personnel when needing providers in certain locales.
• Partner with employers determining modified work.
• Accurately document meeting Best Practices timeframes.
• Report billing hours in accordance with case activity and billing practices.
• Follow specific account instructions.
• Demonstrate professionalism within the work place and in dealing with injured workers.
Qualifications
• Licenses or Certifications: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license required in the resident state; CCM, COHN, CDMS, or CRRN preferred.
• Minimum of five years clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Worker’s compensation or disability management experience is highly desired but not required.
• Previous field case management experience is preferred but not required.
• Requires excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Spanish speaking a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook Email.
• Must have local unencumbered driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Written Abilities: Proficient grammar, sentence structure and written communication skills are required.
Home Office Requirements:
• Requires DSL, fiber or cable internet connection from home. 1 Mbps preferred or better.
• Home office must be HIPAA compliant.

Dana brings more than 27 years of nursing experience as a Legal Nurse Consultant and Official Disability Guidelines or ODG Certified Case Manager. The Arete team are all experienced Bachelors-level Registered Nurses and/or Certified Case Manager Registered Nurses with years of surgical, critical care, orthopedic, neurology, and psychology nursing experience.

We are seeking a Nurse Case Manager in the NASHVILLE Tennessee area. This RN BSN is responsible for the medical case management of work-related injuries, which includes assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of injured workers. The case manager works with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and the injured worker, closely monitoring the progress and coordinating the care to move the claim forward in a time and cost-effective manner to reach the maximum medical outcome.

We have written processes for all of our job duties to help move your day forward without requiring micro-management.   • Must be a current Registered Nurse with a minimum BSN required, licensed in good standing in Tennessee, minimum 10 years experience.
  • Solid job history required with no job hopping.
  • Case management or clinical experience in orthopedics, multiple trauma, catastrophic injuries, chronic disability management required.
  • CCM is preferred. CCM will be required within 2 years.
  • Excellent organizational and timeline skills required.
  • Must have excellent computer and technology skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written skills.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving history, current auto insurance and reliable transportation as travel is required within a 250-mile radius. **Note travel is a requirement.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as this individual will be working from their home office. Our computer systems do monitor the workflow, however, you must be able to organize your timeline. This is a busy role Monday through Friday, approximately 8 am to 5 pm. Days may start earlier at times. Days may go later at times. This depends on the scheduling requirements and travel required of medical offices. **Note you must have the ability to work independently from your home in a HIPAA secure environment.
  • Must have an area in your home which can be HIPAA secure. This area must be quiet and free from distractions, Monday through Friday business hours. It must be secured per HIPAA law.
  • Must physically live in Middle TN
